I. (Ourenhagen) Johnson, 95, of Enderlin, North Dakota passed away July 25, 2016 at Maryhill Manor, Enderlin.  Funeral will occur August 1, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Petri Lutheran Church, rural Nome, with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday July 31, 4-6 PM at St. Petri with a prayer service at 6 pm.

Luella was born on January 17, 1921 on the family farm to Ole and Linnea (Dagman) Ourenhagen.  She attended grades 1-8 in the Greene School, Ransom County, ND.  She married Willmor O. Johnson on June 5, 1942 at the First Lutheran Church, Enderlin.  They were married 68 years!  Willmor passed away in 2010.  They farmed in the Nome-Eastedge area until 1986.  Luella and Willmor moved to Nome in 1975, Enderlin in 2006, and Maryhill Manor in 2007.

Luella enjoyed her flower gardens, crocheting and knitted 71 sweaters which were sent to “Guideposts: Knitting for Kids”.  She liked bowling, bird watching, playing piano and cards, was active in the Nome Senior Citizens, and was a lifelong member of St. Petri where she played the organ, taught Sunday school and held offices in WELCA.

She was happiest around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her family thoroughly enjoyed her cooking and baking! In their retirement years, Luella and Willmor were a team and baked thousands of doughnuts and sheets of lefse to sell at the Nome Store.

Luella is survived by her children Warren (NancyAnn) Johnson of Nome, ND, Roger (Rosie) Johnson of Nome, ND, and Sherry Henne of Bridgeport, NE; her grandchildren:  Ryan (Becky) Johnson, Kari Johnson, Nathan (Nikki) Johnson, Stephanie (Travis) Olson, Lisa (Jeff) Gion, and BJ (Angie) Henne; nine great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; nephew, Darrell (Margie) Ourenhagen; sister-in-law Agnes Ourenhagen; cousin, LeRoy Dagman; and many nieces and nephews on the Johnson side.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Orville Ourenhagen.
