funeral service for Todd Alan Skretting, 47, Valley City, North Dakota will be 10 am Friday, July 29, 2016 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City, with Pastor Emmy Swedlund officiating.  Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City.  He died suddenly July 24 at his home.

Visitation will be noon to 5 pm Thursday at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel.

Todd Alan Skretting was born September 4, 1968, at Mercy Hospital, Valley City, the son of Jerald Wayne Skretting and LeAnne (Johnson) Skretting.  He graduated from Valley City High School in 1987.  He did various jobs for several people around Valley City, putting his heart and soul into his work.  Todd was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  He also loved to drive around and tour the countryside.  One of his finest attributes was he was always looking out for his loving mother and brother, Jeff.  Todd also loved the family cat, Rufus.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerald; maternal grandparents, Deforest and Agnes Johnson; paternal grandparents, Clara and Louie Skretting; and a cousin, Steve Berg.

Todd is survived by his mother, LeAnne, Valley City; a brother, Jeff; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
