CITY,ND (NEWSDAKOTA.COM)-Valley City State University continues their search for a men’s basketball head coach after the departure of Jeff Kaminsky last month. This week 2 candidates will be on campus to interview for the opening. The candidates are Ryan Montgomery and Nate Kaeding. Montgomery is currently the lead assistant coach for the men’s basketball program at Bemidji State University while Kaeding is currently the associate head men’s basketball coach at University of Sioux Falls.

VCSU faculty, staff and students, and Valley City community members are invited to meet each candidate during a continental breakfast at the VCSU Student Center Skoal Room. The meet-and-greet will be held from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on both Thursday, July 28, and Friday, July 29. 

Kaminsky left VCSU in June after 11 seasons to accept the head coach job at Wayne State College in Nebraska. Last season The Vikings were 22-11 and advanced to the 2nd round of The NAIA National Tournament.
