With 1:04 left in the game The Jimmies started a drive on their 10 yard line and got as far as their 37 before time expired securing the win for VCSU.

The Vikings took a 2-0 lead in the 1st quarter after a botched snap on a punt attempt by Jamestown resulted in a safety. Freshmen kicker Landon Arrendondo had a 22 yard field goal in the 1st quarter and made one from 34 yards out in the 2nd.
