N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Rescue Squad was called to LaMoure, ND after 4:00 PM Friday afternoon.

The squad and dive team were sent to Lake LaMoure to the report of a car that was in about 10 feet of water. The State Game & Fish Department and Regional Response team responded to a request from the LaMoure Police Chief. One person reportedly got out of the vehicle, but it was unknown if there was another in the car.

The dive team used their ROV and boat to see if there was anyone else. No other person was found. The car was brought out of the water and after initial investigations, it’s estimated that the car was purposely driven into the water. Eight rescue and dive team members responded to the scene.
