N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – State budget cuts have affected numerous agencies statewide and now it’s being seen once again in Jamestown.

The James River Senior Citizen Center has reported that they have had to cut their weekend and home delivered meals programs due to statewide cuts. Rhonda Sahr is the Home Delivered Meal Program Coordinator.

Sahr pointed out that they would still be able to deliver a frozen meal on Friday’s to citizens that want one.

Sahr stated that they would still operate their Monday through Friday hours, they just would not longer do the weekend and delivered meals in Jamestown.

Earlier this month, Governor Jack Dalrymple called for a second round of budget cuts across the state in the face of a budget shortfall. Agencies like the James River Senior Center and many other departments were required to reduce their budgets by 2.5%.
