N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Representative Jessica Haak was selected to serve on the Great Plains Food Bank board. Haak completed orientation earlier this year and attended her first meeting as a board member in September 2016.

She was elected to a two-year term and serves on the Strategic Planning standing committee.

“It is an honor to be a part of the Great Plains Food Bank, the state’s largest hunger-relief provider,” said Haak about joining the board. “I look forward to working with community leaders in Jamestown, and beyond, that donate to the GPFB. A huge thank you to everyone who has and/or continues to contribute.”

The Great Plains Food Bank provides over 11 million meals through private contributions, church contributions, United Way, and grants. The Great Plains Food Bank helps reduce food waste and has over 5300 volunteers help out at the food bank each year.
