N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2016-17 Performing Arts Series at the University of Jamestown will begin this October 1st.

The Performing Arts Series is an annual program that features artists and performers from across the country and around the world, bringing them to Jamestown to share their craft. Dr. Richard Walentine is the Chair for the series.

The series begins this Saturday on October 1st when Trillium arrives. The group was founded in 2014 and is a trio of artists including a pianist, violinist, and a cellist.

The members of the trio, Alison Maerker Garner (violin), Alicia Randisi-Hooker (cello), and Robert Bonham (piano), combine years of performing experience throughout the United States, Europe, South America, and even India.

There will be two other performances in the season including Bultema/Skyles Duo in January and the Bismarck Wind Ensemble in April. Ticket cost is $20 for each event. Find more at uj.edu.
