N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A project of Jamestown Tourism has come to fruition in the form of the Jamestown Talking Trail Audio Tour.

On Thursday, Jamestown Tourism Board Members, Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and several other individuals responsible for helping with the project gathered to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the Jamestown Talking Trail.

Shawn Brannan, Creative Director for Talking Trail, stated that it took a cumulative effort to bring Jamestown’s history alive.

Brannan mentioned that they had several other projects in North Dakota that are similar to the one in Jamestown.

Executive Director Searle Swedlund pointed out that they currently have over 70 locations in Jamestown and plan to expand on that.

Swedlund also stated that if someone in the community found a historic spot or place in the community that should be added to the trail, they were open and have the ability to add more spots into the system.

In order to use the Jamestown Talking Trail, individuals will need to call the phone number provided on each plaque location and an audio message will be pulled, giving a more detailed history on the historic location or place of interest.
