CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) -Valley City set the tone early in a 3-0 win over Grand Forks Central Tuesday Night at The HAC. The Hi-Liners were 3-0 winners beating The Knights 25-5, 25-12, 25-10. The win moves their record to 7-11 in The EDC and 18-13 overall.

Set 1 started with a 7 point scoring run for Valley City and at one point they led 15-2 before finishing with a 25-5 win. The Hi-Liners again jumped out to an early lead  in set 2 and once they were up by double figures they wouldn’t look back with the final score 25-12. Grand Forks Central kept it close in the beginning of the final game but another big scoring run propelled Valley City to a 25-10 win.

Josie Berntson paced the offense with 8 kills, Macy Olstad had 7 and Grace Sherr 5. Reagan Ingstad produced 25 assist. Kacee White collected 21 digs with Ingstad adding 13 and Cali Halgrimson 5. At the service line The Hi-Liners accumulated 10 aces, Olstad and Lexi Ondracek each hit 4 with Ingstad earning 2.

The Firebirds of Devils Lake come to town Thursday for Valley City’s final home game of the season. Prematch on KOVC starts around 6:50.
