JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Marksmanship Education Range has only needed to find land in order to become a reality.

On November 4th, the Woodbury Township will be meeting at the KC Hall to decide whether or not to rezone a property for the range. JMER Board President Curt Kaseman stated that the land is located roughly 3 miles South of Jamestown.

The only issue that they have now is land owners and residents living in the vicinity of the proposed range.

The land is currently owned by the Liechty’s. The range, when developed, will provide a facility for all law enforcement agencies, residents and other organizations. Kaseman pointed out that the range would not be a free and open range.

Residents who are interested in having a gun range in Jamestown are encouraged to come to the Woodbury Township meeting on November 4th at 7 PM at the KC Hall in Jamestown.
