(NewsDakota.com) The North Dakota Game and Fish department says the organization is very much concerned about the lack of ice that has formed on state waterways when it comes to safety.

Biologist Doug Leier tells KDDR radio that the circumstances so far this season have been less than ideal for ice formation and it’s cause for concern.

Leier says it will be quite a while yet until the conditions are in place for residents to venture out onto the ice.
