N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Larry Leier of Valley City bagged a bull moose northwest of Kintyre, North Dakota on November 18th.

Leier said he’s been applying for a moose license for the last 30 years and this year his name was drawn.

Leier and his nephew Glen Leier of Bismarck spotted the moose in a slough and dropped the animal on the second shot about 300 yards away using a .300 Magnum rifle northwest of Kintyre, North Dakota.

Leier said the photo was taken by the Napoleon Homestead newspaper, Leier is a native of Napoleon, North Dakota.
