N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) Crop and livestock producers will have an opportunity to learn about weed management, cover crops, crop diseases, grazing strategies, veterinary issues and market outlooks during a daylong agricultural program Friday, Dec. 16, at North Dakota State University’s Carrington Research Extension Center.
The Central Dakota Ag Day program begins with coffee and doughnuts at 9 a.m. Introductions are at 9:45. Workshops start at 10. The NDSU Extension Service is hosting the program.
“Central Dakota Ag Day is for everyone.” says Joel Lemer, the agriculture and natural resources Extension agent for Foster County. “The daylong program will provide a wealth of educational information on a variety of topics – some old, some new – to crop and livestock producers, not only in central North Dakota but statewide. The program also includes horticultural offerings for the nontraditional production agriculturalist.”

Central Dakota Ag Day is sponsored by the Agricultural Improvement Associations and Extension Service offices in Foster, Eddy, Wells, Griggs, Sheridan and Stutsman counties, as well as the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center.
