N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bismarck National Weather Service says the cold temperatures brought in with the latest storms are here to stay.

According to Meteorologist Michael Matthews, the storm has moved off to the Northeast but has left behind large amounts of snow, much cooler temperatures and higher winds. He says central North Dakota was the bulls-eye for the system.

Matthews reports that the western part of the state will see the coldest temperatures through today and the rest of this week, but Jamestown and surrounding areas will see some cold temperatures as well.

The biggest story with the recent storm is the colder temperatures, which are expected to continue for most of December. Matthews reports that they are currently tracking another storm that may drop more snow in the area.
