N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Transportation has closed Highway 281 from Pingree to Carrington.

The latest closure comes following the continuation of blizzard like conditions hitting the central part of the state. Highway 281 from Pingree south to Jamestown continues to have scattered ice and snow.

Carrington remains closed off from most highways including Highway 52 as snow drifts and high winds prevent motorists from traveling.

Between Velva and Carrington, numerous stranded vehicles are being reported. A blizzard warning has been reinstated until 9 PM tonight.
