Elhard Charged Following 8 Hour December Standoff

N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man has been charged with several counts after he entered an eight hour standoff with local law enforcement on December 26th.

Troy Alan Elhard, 33, was charged December 29th with aggravated assault, domestic violence, preventing arrest, and discharge of other duties, all class C felonies. Elhard was allegedly involved in an standoff that went into the early morning hours of the next day. Elhard was apprehended after tear gas was used and no injuries were reported. 

No preliminary hearing date has been set.
