D. Kamletz, 80, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at his home in Edgeley, ND after battling cancer for five years.

Roger Kamletz was born September 13, 1936 at Berlin, ND, the son of Lou and Gladys (Gilpin) Kamletz. Roger married Helene Schlosser on July 3, 1959.  They started their family in Jamestown where Roger worked at the dairy barns at the North Dakota State Hospital before going into the Kamletz House Moving Company with his twin brother, Richard.  In 1968 Roger and Helene moved to Edgeley to farm, retiring in 1996.  From 1995 to 2015 Roger maintained the rest area near Edgeley.  He enjoyed working outside in his shop and operating his Bobcat.  Roger was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He will be greatly missed.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helene; seven children, Tia (Doyle) Harmon, Tacoma, WA, Karen Kiser, Lakeville, MN, Kim (Jackie) Kamletz, Fargo, ND, Jay Kamletz, Wishek, ND, Lori (Bill) Schroeder, Holland, OH, Lisa (Patrick) Kelly, Virginia Beach, VA, and AmyFaye Kamletz, Columbia, SD; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Jane) Kamletz, Jamestown, ND and Elden “Rusty” Kamletz, Edgeley, ND; and sister, Luella Morris, Renton, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; two sisters; one grandson; two nieces and one nephew.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley with a rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley.
