(NewsDakota.com)- Playing in their 2nd game in as many days Valley City won their 2nd of the season Tuesday. The Hi-Liners girls’ basketball routed South 64-43 in Fargo. After a back and forth start to the night Valley City broke the 5th and final tie in the 1st half to take a lead they would never relinquish. Reagan Ingstad hit a buzzer beating 3 to put her team on top 33-27 at the break. A 9-2 run to open the game’s final 18 minutes pushed Valley City to a 20 point advantage, they would led by as much 24 as they crushed to the victory.

Taryn Dieterle led the offensive out pour with 15 points, teammate Makenzie Pederson scored 11 and Reagan Ingstad and Kacee White each collected 10 points. All of White’s scoring came in the 2nd half. Seventh grader Adie Wagner paced The Bruin with 15. Valley City gets a week off before they return back to action next Tuesday hosting Grand Forks Red River.
