N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The 2017 Class A and Class B State Wrestling Tourney kicked off at the FargoDome on Thursday.  The Carrington Cardinals are going for their third consecutive state Class B  title in duals and individuals this year.   In the dual portion of the tourney yesterday, No. 4 Carrington beat Velva 53-28 in the quarterfinals.  The Cardinals will meet No. 1 Lisbon today (Feb. 17) at 1pm in the semifinals.

At the end of the first day, Carrington and Hettinger/Scranton are tied for first place with 60.5 points in the individual portion.  Lisbon third with 60, Pembina County North fourth with 53 points and Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter fifth with 43 points.

The following five Cardinal Grapplers moved into the semifinals today (Feb. 17):
