N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown women’s basketball team was coming off their first conference loss in over two years and they bounced back in a big way with an 87-44 win over Viterbo in the NSAA quarterfinals.

The win keeps Jamestown’s quest for a fourth consecutive appearance in the NSAA title game alive. They will host Mayville State in the semifinals Friday night at 9pm.

Viterbo took an early 8-4 lead about five minutes into the opening quarter, before the Jimmies found their groove. Allison Jablonsky and McKayla Orr each hit threes to put Jamestown in front and they never trailed again.

The Jimmies built their lead to 31 before halftime. They outscored the V-Hawks 42-7 after the first five minutes. No starter played 19 minutes as Coach Ulland turned it over to his bench early.

Jablonsky lead the Jimmies with 17 and Orr finished with 14.

Friday night’s battle with the Comets is scheduled for 9pm on Friday night. You can listen to it on ESPN Jamestown.

Valley City State and Dickinson State will meet in the other semifinal.
