(NewsDakota.com) The rosters for the 2017 North Dakota Shrine Bowl have been announced, and several area graduating seniors have made the 11-man and 9-man teams.

On the Class 11-Man East team, the area will be represented by Bradee Schroder from Carrington, Brandt Bohmert of Northern Cass, Jacob Hanson of Milnor-North Sargent, Luke Wertz and Taylen Walks from Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm and Peter Lindgren of Enderlin-Maple Valley. Head Coach Jon Schiele of EEK has been named as an assistant coach for the game.

Valley City High’s Eli Allen will play for the Class 11-Man West team.

The 9-Man East team is full of area athletes; Aaron Bell and Alix Wisnewski of Wyndmere-Lidgerwood, Billy Steinbach and Josh McKnight from New Rockford-Sheyenne, Brandon Dewald of Kidder County, Dalten Jangula, Devin Weigel and Jake Bakken from Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter, Strasburg/Zeeland’s Hunter Huizenga, Tyler Kuntz from South Border and Landon Smith and Levi Hirschkorn from LaMoure-Litchville/Marion. NGS head coach Kelley McCleary will assist in coaching the squad.

The 2017 Shrine Bowl is set for Sunday, July 16 at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, with the 11-man game up first at 4 p.m., followed by the 9-man game at 7 p.m.
