N.D. (AP) — State officials are investigating the illegal killing and dumping of four white-tailed deer, a turkey and a coyote on the Apple Creek Wildlife Management Area in Burleigh County.

North Dakota Game and Fish Department district game warden Corey Erck says all of the animals were taken outside of a legal hunting season.

Erck was notified March 18, and says all indications were that the animals had been recently killed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Report All Poachers line at 800-472-2121. Callers can contact Erck directly at 701-320-2005.

The RAP line offers rewards for information that leads to the conviction of fish and wildlife law violators.
