N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The community of Carrington is coming together to organize a concert association for the area.

The Central Dakota Concert Association will bring three to four world-class performance arts concerts to the area each year at affordable prices, especially for families and students.

“Artist rosters include many different musical genres,” a release reports. “Serious classical attractions including duos, trios, brass ensembles, Dixieland bands, show bands, and small jazz and pop ensembles.”

The organization will also hope to bring in other small acts including youth oriented dance companies, acrobatic troupes, and even holiday shows. The membership-based association will be patterned after other organizations in North Dakota and the Midwest, sharing reciprocal arrangements with nearby associations.

On Saturday, April 1st, a representative from the Allied Concert Services will be in Carrington at the Youth Center. Residents are encouraged to attend the informational public meeting with questions and suggestions.
