N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – NewsDakota broke the news that Executive Director Cyndi Wish would be stepping down from her position in June, citing family reasons for her departure.

Wish pointed out the primary reason she stepped down was her newborn baby and the distance between her and her family on the east coast.

When asked how her past three years of service in the position have gone, Wish stated that the job was so much fun and allowed a lot of creativity. One of the bigger projects Wish will leave behind in the community is the Hansen Arts Park.

With Wish stepping down, the board will now be on the lookout for the next Executive Director of the Jamestown Arts Center. Wish says she will remain in her position until June 30th or until a hire can be made. She says she’s encouraged for the future of the center.

Warren Abrahamson sat down with Wish and discussed her past few years in Jamestown, what she’s been able to accomplish in her time here and her hope for the Arts Center moving forward. You can hear the full interview below.
