(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown basketball fans will remember Ben Weisbeck from his days playing in the WDA and tormenting the Blue Jays as a member of the St. Mary’s boys basketball team. After two years at Augustana in Sioux Falls, Weisbeck is returning to North Dakota and will suit up for the University of Jamestown men’s basketball team in the fall.

Weisbeck appeared in 47 games for the Vikings during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons while averaging about 1.5 points per game.

“Ben is an incredibly athletic guard that will bring maturity and leadership to our team,” said head coach Danny Neville. “He has a chance to be an elite guard in our league on both ends of the floor.”

Weisbeck was a finalist for North Dakota’s Mr. Basketball in 2014 when he lead the Saints to the state title game. He averaged 21.4 points a game as a senior.
