CITY, N.D. (NewDakota.com) – Across the nation in times of intense personal crisis and disasters, the first access point for those seeking emergency services is 9-1-1. The local and county public safety communications centers that receive these calls have emerged as the first and single point of contact for persons seeking immediate relief during an emergency.

Barnes County Dispatch is celebrating the April 9-15 as National Public Safety telecommunicators as 911 Dispatcher Week.

Barnes County Emergency Manager Sue Lloyd and Dispatcher Holly Neuberger talked about the importance of recognizing and celebrating the hard work of these dedicated professionals at every level with Steve Urness during our Voice of the Valley Show.

Lloyd said to all our 911 dispatchers of Barnes County:  Holly, Kaity, Sarah, Emma, Chrissy, Meghan, Kelli, Tyson, Dylan, Chris, Danays and Andrea, thank you for your commitment and devotion you provide to ensure the safety and security of the Valley City and Barnes County citizens as well as all the emergency personnel you dispatch for on a daily basis.
