N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota sheep producers will have an opportunity to improve their skills and meet the North Dakota State University Extension Service’s sheep specialist, Travis Hoffman, at a workshop May 4.

The Dickey County office of the NDSU Extension Service is hosting the spring sheep workshop at the Fireside Restaurant in Ellendale. The program will start at 1 p.m. with registration, and presentations begin at 1:30 p.m.

Topics that will be covered and the presenters are:

* Production economics – Hoffman

* Sheep summer grazing – Breana Kiser, the agriculture and natural resources
Extension agent in Dickey County, and Pete Kronberg, a sheep producer

* Lamb management troubleshooting – Hoffman and Ben Galbreath, a local
veterinarian

* Lamb marketing – Hoffman and Brent Stroh, a sheep producer
