N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Reservoir releases will be adjusted Friday to release at 650 cubic feet per second.

Manager Bob Martin reports that adjustments were made earlier this month to adjust for spring melt. Releases at Pipestem Dam will remain at zero.

“We will make the adjustments to increase the releases 200 more cubic feet per second Friday,” Martin reported. “The city may have to make some adjustments at their gates and residents may see a rise in the river levels, but it shouldn’t be too much.”

Currently, the reservoir is eight feet into the flood storage area. Martin and the Army Corps of Engineers will continue to monitor the releases. Martin says they hope to have lowered the levels by a June 1st deadline.
