N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger came before the Police and Fire Committee Thursday evening to request acquiring a new, electronic system for scheduling.

Chief Edinger pointed out that the department had been scheduling and keeping track of services through a paper system.

Edinger reported that they had narrowed down their search to Aladtec Online Scheduling. He says the new system would help them with training, scheduling, and special enforcements such as DUI enforcements or the recent pipeline protests.

Mayor Katie Andersen pointed out that she would liked to see this brought to the committee during the next budgeting session.

The committee agreed that the program should be looked into for use in other city departments. No motion was taken.
