MN (NewsDakota.com) Another track and field meet, and another team win for both the Hillsboro-Central Valley girls and Milnor-Wynmdere-Lidgerwood boys teams; this time at the TK Relays at Concordia College on Thursday.

H-CV won the girls division with a team total of 91.5 points, 1 point ahead of M-W-L. Jamestown was fourth with a total of 77.5 points, and Oakes placed sixth with 39.5 points.

Payton Johnson of Northern Cass won the 100 meter hurdles, M-W-L’s Drew Frolek won the 800 meter run, and Jamestown’s Meagan Ford took first in the 3200 meter run, while the Blue Jays won the 4×400 meter relay. LaMoure-LM’s Jakkia Duffy placed third and qualified for State in both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs.

In the field, Jamestown’s Abby Kallenbach won and qualified for State in the high jump while also placing third and qualifying in the triple jump. Lexi Rose of Barnes County North won the pole vault, Shelby Roney of Oakes won the javelin and her teammate Bella Hansen was third in the discus.

The boys of M-W-L won their division with 109.5 points, with the next area team being Jamestown, who took fourth place with 83 points.

On the track, M-W-L had several wins. Evan Braaten was first in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, Trey Lunnenborg won the 100 dash, and the Warbirds won the 4×100 relay. Maple Valley-Enderlin’s Arthur Punton won and qualified for State in the 800 meter run, and the Falcons won the 4×800 relay.

In the field, MVE’s Peter Lindgren qualified for State and was second in the javelin.
