N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The goal of the Kiwanis Club is to serve the children of the community and the world.

And the Jamestown Kiwanis Club is serving up pancakes for that purpose.

A release from the club states that the annual Jamestown Kiwanis Pancake Day is set for 11 AM on May 1st.

“Pancake Day is the community’s fundraiser,” said President Amanda Thrift. “All proceeds go right back to helping Jamestown and the surrounding areas.”

Last year, 40 or so Kiwanis members raised nearly $10,000 for organizations like Anne Carlsen Center, Salvation Army, Safe Shelter, Camp Rokiwan, Kids Against Hunger and Key Club at Jamestown High School.

All proceeds will benefit area organizations.

“Hugo’s does so much for the community. We’re proud to work with them again this year and grateful for their support,” said Pancake Day Chair Eric Tuchscher.

The meal includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, milk, coffee and juice. To purchase tickets, talk to any Kiwanis member or call 252-1049. Tickets cost $8 for adult, $4 child, free for preschool and under. Bulk discounts are available if purchased in advance.

Jamestown Kiwanis meets at noon Mondays at Quality Inn & Suites. The club always seeks new members. To learn more, email JamestownKiwanis@gmail.com or visit Facebook.com/JamestownKiwanis.
