N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – First Community Credit Union (FCCU) will be hosting a free shred event alongside MinnKota Recycling on Saturday, April 29th from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

This event is open to the public and will be held at their main branch in Jamestown, located at 111 9th St SW. MinnKota will have a truck on-site for shredding any unwanted personal, medical or business- related documents at no cost to help you secure your identity. Documents to be shredded should be removed from binders; however, staples, paper clips, CDs, and floppy discs will be allowed to be shred.

“With tax season ending, it’s a perfect time to dispose of unneeded personal documents,” said Cali Sailer, retail manager for FCCU in Jamestown. She continued, “This is just one way you can help prevent identity theft and First Community is looking forward to offering this free service to our community again this year.”
