FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- VCHS Baseball took to the road Friday to take on Grand Forks Central.  The Hi-Liners came out on the short end of both contests by scores of 13-3 and 9-0.  VCHS remains winless on the year now 0-8 and 0-7 in EDC.  Next action is Tuesday in Fargo against Shanley. 

 

Game 1: GF Central 13  VCHS 3 (5 innings)

The Knights scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and never trailed as starter Blaise Monette scattered 6 hits to earn the win. Briar Harvey went 3.1 and was on the hook for the loss. Stephan Brooks pitched an 1.1 of relief. 

Bryce Reller collected 3 RBIs and a home run to lead Central’s offense. Justin Manson went 2 for 2 for The Hi-Liners. David Fletcher and Cole McGough had RBIs.

Game 2: GF Central 9 VCHS 0

Zach Vodden hurled a complete game no hitter for The Knights. Briar Harvey and Devin Anderson were The Hi-Liners only base runners, both reached via walks. Luther Zeltinger worked 3 1/3 taking the loss for Valley City.
