N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Over 300 couples were estimated at the 6th annual Father/Daughter dance Friday night in Jamestown.

The event is a large fundraiser for Stutsman County Relay for Life and has grown every year since being held six years ago. Organizer Mayda Mueller estimated that over 260 couples had preregistered and several others were walk-ins.

Fathers, Grandfathers and Guardians brought their daughters and granddaughters, dressed up and walked the stage during the grand march and later danced in a prom-like setting.

Spectators were allowed to watch the first dance before being asked to leave.
