N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown residents had a lot of junk they wanted to get rid of this year.

The annual City-wide cleanup, which occurs during the first week of May each year, collected over 200 tons worth of items this year. This is the most ever collected during the annual event.

A total of 209.62 tons were collected, roughly 24 tons more than in 2016. Items such as appliances, TVs, tires, metal and other household garbage were not picked up for the event.

Cleanup took place in separate parts of the city for four days.
