N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization that provides volunteer-based planting, harvesting or haying assistance free of charge to farm and ranch families who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, received a grant totaling 0,000 from the Engelstad Family Foundation.

Funding will go toward equipment purchases to expand Farm Rescue’s haying assistance program. In addition to planting and harvesting operations, Farm Rescue offers haying and hay moving services to farm and ranch families in need, including throughout the recently added state of Nebraska.

“Our goal is to offer a diverse array of services to the maximum number of farm and ranch families who have been stricken by unexpected crises,” said Bill Gross, Founder & President, Farm Rescue. “Our organization will be able to accomplish this through the generous support of the Engelstad Family Foundation. We are proud to partner with the Engelstad Family Foundation to further our mission.

“We commend all Farm Rescue volunteers for their charitable work and know they are helping those that would turn around and help them if it was needed. You are wished good fortune for the agricultural seasons of 2017,” said Betty Engelstad, Trustee, Engelstad Family Foundation.
