N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center will expand it’s service to more rural communities by beginning a specialty clinic in Carrington this June.

According to Marketing Manager Katie Ryan-Anderson, each specialist from the JRMC will spend one business day a month at the JRMC’s Carrington Clinic, which will be located adjacent to Dr. Jay Bauer’s Dental Clinic at 918 First Street South.

“No matter where you live, you should have access to high-quality healthcare,” said Trisha Jungels, Chief Nursing Officer. “JRMC always strives to be the difference in healthcare. This is one way we can do that.”

The clinic will not offer primary care, but rather specialty services not available in Carrington and New Rockford.

“Without access to these specialists, residents of the Carrington-New Rockford communities would have to travel at least 40 miles for care,” Jungels said. “That distance can be tough for families and seniors.”

Visiting specialists include Sue Matthiesen, audiology; Drs. Michael Dean and Tim Volk, orthopedics; Dr. Rachael Renschler, podiatry; Dr. Robert Bates, urology.
