Enderlin/Maple Valley Softball Earns 5th Seed in East

N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Seeding was announced Wednesday for The Class B East Region Softball Tournament. Enderlin/Maple Valley finished their season 16-7 and 5-5 in the region to place 5th. The East Region features 6 teams that were ranked in the top 10 of the latest coach’s poll including Kindred/Richland, Central Cass and Thompson who were No.1, 2 and 3 respectively. Falcons’ head coach Kayl Hamre says they are pleased that they were able to earn a spot in the upper half of the region 

EMV, who is ranked 10th in the state, will play Hillboro-Central Valley in the opening round. The Burros have a 7-3 record in the region and are the 4th seed. The Falcons played HCV on May 2nd and lost 11-4. The tournament is double elimination and runs Saturday and Monday at The Olsen Softball Complex in Hillsboro. The Burros and Falcons play at 10am on Saturday.
