(NewsDakota.com) An eight run first inning from the LaMoure-Litchville/Marion baseball team was enough to propel them to a 10-3 victory Thursday at Townsend Field against Fargo Oak Grove Lutheran in the Class B Region I Play-In Game.

The Loboes also finished with 10 hits in the victory to advance to the opening round of the tournament Friday. The Grovers earned their first run in the third inning, but were plagued in the first due to five of their eight errors.

Maclaine Bierman earned the victory for LLM, lasting all seven innings, allowing two hits, and striking out nine; brining his season total to 45 punch outs. Isaac Noel took the loss, allowing all 10 hits, with two walks and three strikeouts. Noel scored the run in the third after reaching via a two-out double.
