Roskens, 95, of Jamestown, ND died on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Jessie Eleanor Roskens was born on November 25, 1921 to Henry and Elizabeth Grussing, on the family farm located at Bunde, MN. She married Edward Roskens in 1943 and they farmed near Clara City, MN until 1974.   Jessie was a faithful wife, mother, and homemaker and helped with many of the ‘chores’ and fieldwork on the farm. She enjoyed family, gatherings, participating in church activities, sewing and mending clothes, reading, gardening, and canning. She and Edward loved camping and traveling around the United States and Canada. They made their home near Nest Lake in MN and later near Clara City, MN. After Edward died in 1975, Jessie lived in Arizona, New London and Spicer, MN, and later years made her home in Jamestown, ND. Her travels took her to distant lands including Taiwan, the Holy Land, and Kenya. While in Jamestown, Jessie especially enjoyed her daily “Coffee Group” with friends, Tuesday Morning Bible Study, Friendship Circle, and eating out!

Jessie lived the last 5 ½ years at Ave Maria Village where she displayed her love and caring spirit and always had a smile on her face. She passed on to her ‘heavenly home’ on May 18, 2017.
