N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a dog was shot in its yard in Streeter.

Jasmine is a one year old Labrador/Pitbull mix. She was recently shot by someone with a shotgun in her own front yard. Pamela Syverson is her owner.

While rushing to the veterinarian, a highway patrol trooper had pulled them over. When he realized the emergency, he led the group to Steele. After getting to the vet, Syverson learned that her dog had been shot.

Syverson stated that surgery resulted in some of the metal shots being removed, but some will remain lodged within Jasmine. Syverson says Jasmine is getting better.

A $250 reward is being offered by Syverson and her family for information leading to arrest of the individual. She says she has never seen anything like this in her life.

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department is investigating. They were not immediately available for comment on the investigation.

A Facebook page called “Justice for Jasmine” has been set up to provide updates on how she is doing following surgery.
