N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two new industrial parks are in the future plans for the Jamestown Stutsman/Development Corporation (JSDC).

The strategic plan, recently approved by the JSDC Board of Directors on May 15th, involves the next steps for business parks in the region.

“A part of our new strategic plans for 2017-2020 is to explore new opportunities for industrial/business parks for our city and county,” stated Corry Shevlin, Business Development Manager at JSDC. “The airport park is the only one that has been actively worked on from a ‘new’ park stand point.”

The JSDC currently owns two other business parks, the I-94 Business Park and the Spiritwood Energy Park Association. Shevlin stated that there will be lots on airport land, south of the UTC building.

As far as costs for the parks go, Shevlin says costs have changed three times already and there is a number of different funding streams that would be available for the park.
