N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The Bismarck Legacy Sabres scored first with four runs in the fourth inning, the Blue Jays came back and scored seven in the third inning and never looked backed as Jamestown beat Legacy on Friday afternoon at Trapper Field 11-10.  Jamestown will move into a state qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at 1pm against the loser of the Minot Bishop Ryan vs. Bismarck High semifinal game.  The Blue Jays improve to 17-18, Legacy ends their season at 15-15. 

Legacy would come within one run twice in the game.  In the third inning, they would score two to make the score 7-6.  Jamestown would score four runs in the fifth inning to make it 11-6 after five.  Then Legacy scored four runs in the sixth to close the gap to one run again.  The Sabres would get the tying run at second base in the bottom of the seventh inning, but pitcher Alex Nihill would re-enter the game and get three outs to end the game. 

Junior Hannah Schiele was 3-for-5 at the plate for Jamestown, with two RBI and scored two runs.  Senior Mariah Wick was 2-for-5 with one RBI and scored two runs.  Also Joey Kleinsasser, Ella Roaldson and Jenna Fischer had two hits each.  Center fielder Taryn Allmaras was 3-for-5 at the plate for Bismarck with two RBI and scored two runs. 

The winning pitcher was Alex Nihill, working six innings, seven hits, six runs, five earned, one walk and five strikeouts.  Taking the loss was Courtney Hanson, working seven innings, 16 hits, 11 runs, 10 earned, two walks and five strikeouts. 

Next up for Jamestown will be Saturday at 1pm, pregame will start about 12:50pm on AM 1400 KQDJ, 97.1 FM and newsdakota.com.  The winner will advance to the State Tourney in Mandan starting June 1st.
