N.D. (AP) — A pastor at two Catholic parishes in southeastern North Dakota has been placed on administrative leave as authorities investigate his conduct with children.

The Rev. Thomas Feltman has been temporarily removed from his duties and the matter turned over to Richland County Social Services for review, Catholic Diocese of Fargo Bishop John Folda said in a statement issued over the weekend.

“Late last week, Father Thomas Feltman came to the Diocese to inform us of concerns that had been brought to him regarding his interaction with youth,” Folda said he told parishioners. “We take any such concerns very seriously.”

Feltman, who has served as a priest in the Fargo Diocese since being ordained in 2001, has been the pastor at St. John the Baptist’s Catholic Church in Wyndmere and St. Arnold’s Catholic Church in Milnor since 2015. A home telephone listing for him was not working on Monday.
