N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Sheyenne Mustangs exploded for a 13 runs in the fifth inning and coasted into the state semifinals with a 15-4 win in five innings. They will be looking to return to the state championship game for the second straight year when they play West Fargo in the semis on Friday. 

The Mustangs lead 2-1 after four innings, but the hits kept coming in the fifth. They scored 13 times on eight hits. Hayden Reyonlds, who had homered in the first, had two extra base hits in the inning including the exclamation point grand slam.

Nolan Kratz was the lone Blue Jay with multiple hits and he also drove in two runs.

Jamestown will play Mandan in a consolation semifinal tomorrow at 2:30pm on ESPN Jamestown.
