N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was a sea of pink during RM Stoudt’s 10th Annual Running of the Pink.

Created to fight breast cancer and raise awareness, the event has runners and walkers participate in either a 10K run or 5K run/walk. The event was co-created by Casey Stoudt, who says he was pleased with the turnout.

After running the 5K, Casey stated that he felt good about his time this year.

Some Rural Fire Department Firefighters were at the event, having donated some funds from their annual Fishing Derby to the run. Four members of the department even walked the 5K in full gear. Travis Lemieux says they were talked into the run by a few members.

Although final numbers were not immediately available, Tara Kapp pointed out that they believed the participation was up this year.

Although Kapp says she might not be running the course herself next year, she was very grateful for everyone who came together to make the 10th annual event a memorable one.

Final numbers will be published once they are finalized.

Below are some pictures and video from the event.
