(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes Post 36 American Legion baseball team is now back at a .500 record in Class B Southeast Region play after a 9-2 loss to Lisbon Post 7 Wednesday night.

Post 36 (3-3) started off on the right foot, scoring the first run on an RBI double by Adam Neustal, but Post 7 (4-2) would then score the next nine runs; three runs each in the first, second and third innings to pull away for good.

Lawerence Lessman earned the win for Lisbon, going four and a third innings with eight strikeouts. Sam Huffman was the losing pitcher for Oakes, lasting just two innings with three strikeouts.

Oakes next plays Tuesday, June 20 at Ellendale against Post 137. Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com starts at 6:50 p.m., with first pitch at 7.
