CITY, N.D. (VCSUVikings.com) – A total of 112 golfers played in the annual VCSU Viking Golf Scramble held Saturday in Valley City. 

 The tournament raises money for athletic scholarships at Valley City State University. Twenty-eight teams participated in the tournament held at both Bjornson Park Public Golf Course and the Valley City Town & Country Club. 

 The team of Shane Ost, Brian Zerface, Brent Geisler and Trevor Justesen won the championship flight with a 14-under score of 57. Finishing runner-up in the championship flight was the team of Nate Zerface, Josh Brouse, Jeremy Wiebe and Jamie Paurus. 

 The team of Todd Webster, Adam Longmore, Ron Wendel and Justin Tabor won the open flight. Second place in the open flight went to Doug Beiswenger, Kevin Jacobson, Jim Ukestad and Joe Ukestad. 

 Major sponsors for the Viking Scramble this year included Dacotah Bank, Puklich Chevrolet, MEI Technologies and Bridges Car Wash.
