VC Post 60 Swept by West Fargo

WEST FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City Post 60 traveled down I94 to West Fargo to take on the Aces Wednesday night.  Post 60 would come out on the loosing end of both games, by scores of 5-2 and 10-0.

 

Game 1: West Fargo 5  Post 60 2 

 Post 60 was able to get the early lead after the top of 3rd by putting up two runs.  That lead would be short lived as West Fargo would score 1 in the 3rd and 2 in the 4th and 5th to take a 5-2 lead and hold on to that for a final score. 

 Nate Rodriguez started on the mound for VC.  He would go 5 innings, giving up 5 runs(3 earned) on 5 hits while walking 2 and striking out 13.  Sam Jenson would throw a scoreless inning of relief for Post 60.

At the plate Jenson lead the way picking up 2 hits, while Stephan Brooks and Dalton Ondracek each had an RBI.

Game 2: West Fargo 10 Post 60 0

An early 5 runs in the first 2 innings for West Fargo put Post 60 in a hole that couldn’t work their way out of.  Aces would score 4 runs in the 4th and another in the 5th to end the game by score 10-0.

VC back on the road Thursday night in Kindred for pair of games starting at 6pm
